This, year, one of Eden’s elders, Albert Coetzee, offered to arrange a golf day as a fundraising initiative for our Ministry. As we did not even know what a golf course looks like, all the responsibilities were left to Albert who started from scratch, booking the golf course, putting the concept together, getting sponsors, prizes and arranging the program. On Thursday, 13 May 2010, we pitched up at the golf course, only to find Loryn and Susan efficiently registering the golf players. Everybody looked extremely professional and we soon learnt that this game had a special dress code and that we had to keep quiet and watch. Soon the golfing started in all seriousness.
Exactly at 17.00, we moved to the hall where all the prizes were presented to the players. This was followed by a delicious dinner and jovial conversation. To our wonderful surprise, the event brought in more than enough to enable us to have much needed colour brochures and other publicity material printed for the Ministry! We thank our Lord for equipping Albert for this very precious offering of his time and expertise and for blessing us, not only with the required funding, but with extra funding to fill other gaps in Eden.
May the Lord bless all of you who contributed towards and participated in this event. We pray that this will be the first of many such wonderful initiatives which will enable Eden to extend the place of our tent (Is. 54:2). Thank you our dear friends Albert & Loryn Coetzee!
