Kira Seamon was a Guest Choreographer at one of Regional Dance America's Craft of Choreography Conferences. This showing occurred on the first Friday of the 2 week Conference...
The assignment was simple: Create a dance with 3 assigned words. Her words were: slither, angularity and intricate. (other restrictions applied). She was asked to choreograph the piece in silence and music would be added randomly during the performance. This meant that the dancers had absolutely no practice with the music. What you see in this video is the first time they heard the music! Kira is super impressed by these dancers' musicality and general dance training, to perform so cohesively together without knowing the music beforehand. Great job!!!
