The mission of this Christian, Interdenominational Academy is to provide a facility for the study of biblical principles of worship, using the body as instrument. Profile of the director of the academy:
IZAK COETZEE, trained dancer, teacher and choreographer, is currently doing his
post-graduate studies through SATS. He established Eden Ministries in 1992 and Eden Academy of Worship in 2001. Since 1989, he has spent all his time and energy on the research, development and teaching of
Worship Movement. For ten years, Coetzee was a regular member of the dance-ministry team at the Christian celebrations of the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. He is respected, locally as well as abroad,
for his pioneering work in the field of Worship Movement. Objective of Worship Movement Modules
To enable graduates to:
Introduce the Ministry of Movement to their local churches.
Understand the Lord’s Feasts and how to write liturgies with music, song and movement for the celebration of these feasts. Use this medium to evangelise and minister Have a Biblically based foundation of what Scripture teaches about dance and movement. As from 2004, Eden Academy of Worship will act as a Centre of Learning for the South African Theological Seminary (SATS) and will be presenting a fully accredited distance learning course in Theology with approved modules on Worship Movement. This will enable students tostudy anywhere in the country and in their own time. Certificate,
diploma and BA Theology courses are available and students receive a nationally accredited SATS qualification on completion of each course.
Eden Academy of Worship now also has distance learning courses in Worship Theology as well as Practice (DVD) During 2009, they will also be presenting 5 Worship Conferences in Gauteng and surrounding areas.
