Founded on the words of John 4:24: ďGod is spirit and His worshippers must worship in spirit and in truthĒ, the Címist dance group portrays the life and work of Jesus Christ through dance, music and spoken word.
Classical ballet sequences, danced to lyrical music, blend with the pulsating rhythms of Spanish and modern dance in a spectacular audio-visual presentation of the Word of God. The spoken text is based on extract from the full Gospel.
The seven-act production starts with the announcement of the message of Godís spiritual light coming to earth.
It moves through the childhood days of Jesus and the Sermon on the Mount, to reach a crescendo with the crucifixion and resurrection in the fourth act.
The remaining three acts reveal the full glory of the teachings of the Gospel. Not only is Godís grace portrayed, but also his retribution. The production culminates in the second coming of Christ.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, Címist have made it their mission to bring a vibrant rendition of the Gospel to all people yearning for Godís compassion. A support network of evangelical workers have been integrated with the group to attend to the spiritual needs and calls of people touched by the dancersí moving on-stage ministry.
Audiences include convicted prisoners, alcohol and drug abusers, sex workers, unmarried mothers and orphans. The sick, the elderly and the disabled too find it a moving experience.
Címist is a non-profitable organisation which depends on the financial goodwill of patrons to continue their exceptional dance mission.
